How to judge the quality of e-cigarette aluminum casing?

Identification check:

Check whether the aluminum profile and packaging are marked with product standard code number, production license number and other information.

Surface Quality:

The surface of the aluminum profile should be clean and free of defects such as cracks, peeling, corrosion, and bubbles. There should also be no problems such as corrosion spots, electric burns, black spots, and oxide film peeling.

Oxide film thickness:

The oxide film of aluminum profiles is formed during the anodizing process. It has a protective and decorative role and can be detected using an eddy current thickness gauge.

Sealing quality:

After anodizing, many pores will be left on the surface of the aluminum profile. If there is no good sealing treatment or the sealing quality is poor, the corrosion resistance of the aluminum profile will be reduced. Commonly used sealing quality inspection methods include acid leaching method, admittance method and phosphobutyric acid method.

In on-site inspections, acid leaching is usually used. The specific operation is: first clean the surface of the aluminum profile with acetone to remove oil and dust, then add 50% volume ratio of nitric acid dropwise, scrub gently, rinse off the nitric acid with clean water after 1 minute, and then wipe dry. Next, add a drop of medical violet to the surface, wipe off the violet after 1 minute and clean the surface thoroughly. Carefully observe the remaining traces. If the sealing quality of the aluminum profile is not good, obvious traces will be left. The more obvious the traces, the worse the sealing quality.
